Guide My Feet

This traditional song gives us the “heart” prayer of a person who wants the Lord to occupy the throne at the center of the person’s very being. Please give it a sing-along listen and see if you can put it to use “right-sizing” the troubles of this life and setting a course of glory.

Guide my feet

Some verses on guidance …

Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Luke 1:79 “….to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

Proverbs 11:14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.

Proverbs 1:5 Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance

Hold my hand

Some verses on “hold hand” …

Isaiah 41:13 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

Mark 9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he got up.

Matthew 14:31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Acts 3:7 And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.

Acts 9:41 And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

Psalm 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.

Search my heart

Some verses on “search my heart:…

Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.

Jeremiah 17:10
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give to each man according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds.

As we seek to have God occupy the throne room of our hearts, a good prayer would include asking Him to guide our feet.

God bless you lots!
-Dale R.

    Good afternoon Mr dale,… Such a well written song and sermon, ……. giving oneself totally to. OUR FATHER JESUS IS ALL THAT HE ASKED FROM US, AFTER ALL HE DID THE SAME FOR US….And yes Mr Dale, there is no better way to learn of OUR FATHER JESUS, THAN JUST SITTING AT HIS FEET STEPS AND MAKING SURE, THAT WE LOVE, HONOR AND OBEY HIM, HE PAID THE ULTIMATE PRIZE OF DYING FOR OUR SINFUL SOULS SO THAT WE MAY LIVE LIFE, ABUNDANTLY THROUGH HIM, WHAT AN AMAZING FATHER WE SERVE, , Mr Dale , there is nothing in this world that I rather have more than having OUR FATHER JESUS LOVING ME, Because in this world ,we are to learn of, HIM and get ready for THAT HEAVENLY KINGDOM, ……… u and Cathy are doing an amazing job on getting the word out, and educating people on THE WORDS OF OUR FATHER GOD, …And Mr dale, I would rather walk this life journey, with little, and consecrate on what it takes to be with OUR HEAVENLY FATHER JESUS,… BECAUSE HE HAS THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS…..Thanks for getting THE WORD OUT ON LEARNING OF OUR FATHER JESUS… There’s a whole lot of blessings coming your way, … hope y and Cathy are having an amazing time… blessings and love 🙏💞 to u both…..”PLEASE GUIDE My feet steps, MY FATHER JESUS, PLEASE”….”AMEN”

      Julia, Thanks for your note. I agree … this song has a wonderful message and conveys great heart. It was a new song to me, but judging from the number of different recordings of it on the internet I gather it has been a favorite of many for a long time. Most versions feature a large choir and amazing soloists. My version is not so fully staffed! But I think the song carries its own weight. But, yes indeed, learn of Him and get ready for THAT HEAVENLY KINGDOM. And … might I add … do everything we can with all the days we have to do kingdom work here and now, that His will might be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. “AMEN”! God bless you lots … Dale R.
